You've had a chance to see my style now let me tell you a bit about myself!
My original passion for photography was to complement my adventures. I've spent the last six years exploring dirt roads and epic scenery on solo trips all over western North America. So far, I've seen 29 Nationals parks in Canada and the United States and countless provincial and state parks. When I started, I was working off my old Canon T3i and Samsung S7 and had zero idea what I was doing, but I loved taking pictures to capture what I saw. In 2021, I realized I wanted to do more than 'point and shoot,' so I sat down with my owner's manual, Youtube, and a notepad. It opened a whole new world, and I fell deeply in love with photography. From there, I wanted to explore different areas of photography, so I took a chance to work as a second shooter for a wedding, where I learned a lot about event photography. Since then, I have explored lifestyle, action, portrait, and cosplay photography. Every day I take out my camera, I learn something new. There is so much to discover in this creative field, and I love it all.
Outside of photography, I've been a nurse for 12 years, focusing on Psychiatry, Perioperative, and Med/Surg. The day I started my nursing career, I knew I was in the right profession. I love what I do and what nursing has taught me about life, wellness, and compassion. I take so much of who I am as a nurse and bring it into my photography. I want everyone I work with to feel comfortable and safe with me. As a nurse, I am granted the privilege of supporting people through some of the most challenging times. Similarly, photography gives me the privilege of supporting people often in some of the best times. I wouldn't trade either experience.
